Collard Greens with Beets, Lemon & Turmeric

Collard Greens with Beets, Lemon & Turmeric

 

  • 2 pinches black pepper
  • 2 pounds collard greens
  • 1/4 whole lemon
  • 2 large beets, quartered
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tsp sunflower oil
  • 2 pinches turmeric
  • 1 cup water

Chop collard greens finely.

Place all ingredients in water and bring to a boil.

Lower heat, cover, and simmer until beets are soft and collard greens tender and easy to chew.
