Components of the 140-hr Yoga Psychology Training Program:
Providers are trained to become skilled in offering yoga practices alongside therapeutic practices in professional sessions or settings. Proficient in physical, psychological, + spiritual health, yoga professionals provide attuned care for the indwelling humanity in and the full spectrum eco-system of their clients.
Application of the teachings of yoga with clients in an effort to reduce suffering, increase equanimity, overcome trauma, develop well-being, and cultivate a life of vibrancy and clarity.
Mindfulness, Pranayama, and Meditation developed through the layers of the koshas, with consideration for trauma-informed selections on specific practices.
Interpersonal neurobiology prepares our trainees to develop the relational inner presence that provides refuge + compassion.
Ayurveda as a sister science and a natural medicinal perspective informs our training program. Asana, pranayama, mindfulness, and daily lifestyle choices are informed by the perspective of Ayurveda's doshas, vayus, koshas, and chakras.
Dharma Study Groups: yoga philosophy curriculum, integrating psychology from East and West. These sessions prompt an integrative perspective.
Trauma-informed yoga therapy considers developmental, acute, + chronic trauma, and its somatic echoes in the brain-body-mind.
