School ApproachWe are a trauma-informed training school integrating classical yoga, yoga philosophy, and Ayurveda, with the contemporary and compatible sciences of interpersonal neurobiology, mindfulness, inner community parts, art therapy, and trauma resilience.
Our guest presenters include Sarahjoy's teachers from India who bring their expertise and depth to the course. We also include guest presenters with expertise in yoga for diabetes, the endocrine system, cancer, Ayurveda, trauma-informed approaches to healing, addiction recovery, and more. Sarahjoy is dedicated to seva, service, and has been teaching yoga programs, including 200hr yoga teacher trainings, in Oregon's prisons since 1998. As such, this program also has an inherent focus on yoga, social justice, and putting wisdom into action. |
