YOGA help you calm and at ease elsewhere in life
Jennifer started practicing yoga when she was 18, in 1996. She soon noticed that practicing yoga helped her feel more calm and at ease elsewhere in life. She completed her first YA accredited 200hr teacher training with her long time teacher, Sarahjoy Marsh, in 2007. She started teaching shortly after, and went on to complete her IAYT accredited Yoga Therapy training, also with Sarahjoy Marsh, in 2013.
Her Yoga Therapy training included accessible/adaptive yoga, restorative yoga, strength and conditioning, Ayurvedic principles, meditation, and mindfulness. She continues learning by attending and assisting various trainings including Sarahjoy’s Trauma Informed/Brain Sensitive training, which is one of her main interests. She applies and teaches these skills in her public classes and private yoga therapy sessions.
Jennifer also took an AY accredited 500 hour yoga teacher training with her teacher Scott Anderson, the founder of Alignment yoga. She then started co-teaching Alignment Yoga teacher trainings in 2016.
Jennifer is a single mom and finds that her yoga practice benefits her most by being present, especially with her family and friends. She loves exploring and playing in nature and is a big curious kid at heart.
