Overview Statement:
YogaLife, Inc dba yogajoy is a yoga-based organization leading the field in the development of yoga therapy methodology. We provide yoga teacher training at the 200, 300, and 800 hr levels. Our graduates are prepared to work as yoga teachers, yoga professionals, and yoga therapists. Every level of our training is based in trauma-informed, brain-sensitive methodology and includes societal, systemic, and intergenerational perspectives to fully prepare our graduates to offer their services in a variety of settings including prisons, rehab centers, hospitals, schools, inpatient mental health facilities, and more. In addition, we prepare our graduates for private practice with individual clients seeking yoga and yoga therapy for a variety of symptoms, including insomnia, digestive problems, neurological challenges, chronic pain, mental well-being, addiction, and more.
One of our flagship programs is Hunger, Hope + Healing: A Yoga Approach to Reclaiming Your Relationship with Your Body and Food. This program has been operating for more than 20 years and is currently in an expansion phase.
Another of our successful programs is our yoga in prisons program where we teach adults in custody to become certified yoga teachers inside the facility in which they live. They complete our 200hr Yoga Teacher Training while living inside the facility and are then prepared to lead yoga classes for the general population residents as well as for the specialty housing units that include adults in custody who have traumatic brain injuries, mental illnesses, or developmental delays. Sarahjoy has been teaching yoga in Oregon's prisons since 1998.
YogaLife, Inc and all of its programs have pivoted to an entirely online organization and are seeking a Business Development Manager to scale our training school, to brand our yoga therapy methodology to become sought after by mental health professionals and clients, and to develop online symptom-oriented yoga counseling programs similar to Hunger, Hope + Healing, such as Healing from PTSD, Addiction Recovery for Alcohol + Drugs, Smoking Cessation, Overcoming Depression, and so on.
