In this webinar, Sarahjoy will take a trauma-informed approach to looking at the ways in which we (1) block our own progress, or (2) divert our journey, or (3) become faint-hearted about investing in ourselves even when we (1) really want to grow and evolve, (2) are actively involved in help others to grow and evolve, and (3) see that growing and evolving would help us tremendously. It’s common to meet up with inner resistance. There are myriad ways in which this can present itself. We can tell ourselves that we are too busy to take the training course we have had our eye on for the last 5 years. Or that we don’t have the money to invest in ourselves (even though that investment would increase revenue from our livelihood and improve our quality of life). Or that we aren’t worth investing in. Or that we would do it except that the boss won’t let us out of work on those days. Or we are actually our own boss and we won’t let ourselves out of work on those days.
Sarahjoy has been leading yoga teacher trainings for more than 25 years. She has also been helping women in recovery processes for 23 years. She has a long term commitment to helping people make choices that help them get out of resistance, self-sabotage, or anxiety-based decision-making AND to help them launch themselves in the best direction for their health, happiness, and healing.
The key to this process is the trauma-informed approach. None of us wants to consciously prevent ourselves from growing or evolving. None of us wants to consciously keep ourselves stuck or trapped. Yet, we often feel a kind of bind or vacillation or difficulty in really giving ourselves over to decision-making based on truly valuing ourselves.
Where does trauma fit into this? Join us and find out! Sarahjoy will talk about the top 5 reasons people don’t say YES to themselves and their better future due and what you can do today to make sure you’re not falling into those self-limiting traps.
